computer
NOTE: I keep files and programs
(for modification and transfer) on a laptop.
(about 300 MB
on a 16 GB drive) This way I can use my laptop computer
connected to the internet to modify the website.
The folder structure is:
bqpa
mysite-bqpa
public_html
All the files for the web
pages and links (e.g. past festival reports)are in the “public_html”
folder. Background files ,e.g. officers.doc (MSWord) Are in
the “bqpa” folder. After changes, they are saved as htm files.
3. Make modifications as directed by the BQPA president or
board
For website page modification I
use: bluegriffon.org or kompozer.net
for
free download. They have versions for PC,
Mac, and Linux.
For file transfer I
use:
Filezilla-project.org for free download. Versions for PC,
Mac and Linux.
